Bring the water, pine needles, ginger, and marshmallow root to a simmer. It is essential not to boil the mixture, as high heat can destroy some of the beneficial compounds in the ingredients.
Let the mixture reduce to just over half its original volume, allowing the beneficial properties to infuse into the liquid.
Once reduced, strain out the herbs and transfer the liquid to a sanitized mason jar.
Add the honey, vanilla extract, and cinnamon, then stir well to combine.
Allow the syrup to cool completely before sealing the jar tightly with a sanitized lid.
